The Freeman Webb Story

Friends First

It all started with a friendship.

Bill Freeman and Jimmy Webb met at the Nashville's Junior Chamber of Commerce, where both were members, and where their life-long friendship began. Their active involvement in community service gave them the opportunity to observe each other's commitment level and work ethic that ultimately became the catalyst for a business partnership, Freeman Webb Company, that was formed in 1979. Jimmy Webb often accredited the strength of employees’ dedication to the company's continuing success. Many employees have been with the company 15, 20 and 25 years. "We try to develop a family atmosphere and great environment for all our employees," Webb stated. "We take great pleasure seeing our employees grow in the business. We support them educationally and offer attractive awards and incentives for their services."

Poised For Growth

In 2014, Freeman Webb acquired First Management Services, a local, family-owned property management company that possessed similar values and work ethics. In addition to the 5 million square feet of multifamily and commercial space (giving the company three times more multifamily space than our closest competitor), the deal also brought a new COO to the Freeman Webb family, previous President of First Management Services, Kirby Davis.

In 2020, Freeman Webb announced another merger with Nashville-based Continental Property Management, welcoming an additional 10 properties and 31 employees to the Freeman Webb family.
